Hydrant Meters

There shall be a $200.00 deposit to install a meter on a fire hydrant.  The minimum water hydrant rate shall be $55.00 for 0-2,000 gallons.  Charges above 2,000 gallons are as follows:

The City of Gray services all schools inside the city limits with water and sewer (Jones County High School, Maggie Califf Middle Grades, Gray Station Middle School, Gray Elementary, Adult Education and Pre-K).  Dames Ferry Elementary School located outside the city (Highway 18W) is also serviced with water and sewer.  The City of Gray also services various institutions inside the city limits with water and sewer such as the Jones County Sheriff’s Department, Government Center, Headstart, Library, etc.
